The 5-HT Digital Hub Chemistry & Health is part of the Digital Hub Initiative (de:hub) initiated by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy to promote digital innovation in Germany. 5-HT’s goal is to build an international ecosystem of startups, investors and companies to drive digital innovation in the chemistry and health industries. As a central platform, 5-HT offer players the opportunity to network, cooperate and co-develop.
The 5-HT X-Linker 2021, the nation’s largest international bootcamp for digital chemistry startups enters its third round– and this time virtually! Startups from the field of Digital Chemistry were intensively examined and connected with corporates and the 5-HT community. During the 5-days-program, the startups received individual coaching. On the final day, the excellently prepared startups had exclusive sessions with relevant corporates and pitched in front of the 5-HT community.
Guests included more than 50 companies along the chemical value chain, more than 25 investors, several universities and research institutions, and numerous other guests from the ecosystem.
An exclusive group of real industry giants, namely BASF, Braskem, Daikin, Endress+Hauser, Evonik, Gelita, Henkel, Merck, Pepperl+Fuchs and SAP, then participated in the Corporate Speed Dating to meet the startups in person in virtual meeting rooms. The startups themselves were able to use the opportunity here to enter into exclusive and intensive dialogues with the companies bilaterally.
The conference took place from 1-5th of February, was sponsored by major brands such as SAP or BASF and 300 participants enjoyed the conference in a new modern virtual conferencing center created on ZREALITY Sphere platform, which allows participants to interact in a fully immersive 3D virtual environment with their Smartphones, Tablets, PCs or VR Devices.
